What can you expect from the OET exam syllabus?
Given below are the assessment basics that are meant to be your syllabus based on the four communication skills:
This part of OET is divided into three parts- A (answering from consultation extracts), B (answering from short workplace conditions), and C (answering from multiple presentation extracts).
This requires the candidates to write letters, especially, letters of reference. The authority provides background stories that they either use or do not use in their letters.
Similarly, OET has three sections for assessing this skill too- A (listening based on an expedition), B (careful listening), C (careful and precise listening).
Here, candidates are required to enact role plays for their profession, where the authority pretends to be the patient and ask for help.
